Another cloudy, windy day in DFW for our Tuesday.? Winds are gusting above 30 mph this afternoon.? It stay breezy tonight and again tomorrow.
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT TONIGHT IS WELL WEST
Severe weather will stay well west of North Texas this evening and tonight.? Storms are already developing in the Texas Panhandle.? These storms will be moving to the northeast away from North Texas.? The only place where we could see some rain is for the far northwest corner of North Texas.
Here?s the area where severe weather will be possible this evening and tonight.? It is well west of DFW.
Storms are developing along the dry line shown as the dashed black line on the map.
Some of these storms could affect areas near Wichita Falls around midnight tonight.? That is where there is a small chance of rain tonight.
SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TOMORROW IN NORTH TEXAS
From Dallas to the west, we are under a slight risk for severe weather.? Our main concern would be gusty winds to 60 mph and large hail up to 1?.? The greater threat will be north and west of DFW.
Many of my models are showing all the storms staying NW of DFW and keeping us dry.? There are a few others though that do bring storms into the area in the evening on Wednesday and Wednesday night.
This is how the day could play out if my models showing more active weather closer to us verifies.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ? Storms develop along the dry line to our west.? This is the area of greatest concern for high winds, large hail and tornadoes.
WEDNESDAY?EVENING-?If there are storms far enough south they would be approaching the DFW area late in the evening on Wednesday.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT ? Storms will weaken thru the night, but left over rain will be possible across the area.
THURSDAY ? A small storm chance again mainly west of DFW on Thursday.? Partly to mostly cloudy again with a high in the upper 80s.
FRIDAY ? Dry, warm and windy.? Highs near 90.
SATURDAY?- Dry thru most of the day, but a cold front will arrive Saturday night and bring good coverage of showers and thunderstorms.? That rain will linger into Sunday.
SUNDAY - Scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the morning for DFW and then shifting south in the afternoon.
